I have problems with the media when they state that gun owners shouldn't mind registering their guns with the same regulatory scrutiny that car drivers face. Let's examine the truth of this statement. Anybody can walk into a car dealership, plunk down his money and drive away with a car the same day. It is not illegal to own a car with a large gas tank. Cars are not outlawed because they have accessories such as a CD player or because they have more hand-friendly steering wheels.

It is evident that the unfortunate tragedy in Denver caused California and other states to quickly pass another gun law and President Clinton to announce new gun bills. California's passage was the "one gun a month" bill. Anymore it does not matter much what the name of the bill is, you can always expect our hysterical politicians and representative to pass new gun laws when any tragedy involving a gun takes place. They further trash the 2nd Amendment of the United States by doing what they think will eliminate more tragedies involving guns.
